**What this role involves**
Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Team Leader, the Transactional Specialist is responsible for end-to-end AR process including the accurate recording of transactions as they occur, from managing accounts receivable to the completion of the bank reconciliation process and reporting on aged receivables.
- Day to day you will (but not limited to):_
- Assess and implement improvements to existing processes, including system cash collection processes
- Assist to onboard entities not yet brought under the CCX Core system, participate in handover sessions, work with our IT team to bring the subsidiary business data into CCX Core and work with all stakeholders to enable a smooth transition
- Review the existing internal controls and work to improve them
- Assisting with providing documentation support for audit
- Complete the matching of cash received in bank accounts to customer remittances daily.
- Managing a dedicated customer portfolio to ensure effective cash management. Portfolios stretch from Australia to US, UK, and New Zealand
- Collecting from customers who have outstanding invoices and recording updates in the CCX Core system
- Escalate unpaid, overdue invoices, and other issues as per the escalation path to facilitate customers paying on time
- Working closely with sales, customer operations, delivery, and managing customer queries relating to credits, invoicing, contact updates, and disputes within the stipulated SLA
- Raising ad hoc manual invoices, refunds, and credits when required
- Bank Reconciliation
- Ensure that any items in cash clearing or suspense are identified and processed in a timely manner and raise journals when required
- Weekly reporting of open accounts receivable with commentary for overdue items
**Skills and Experience**
With your sound collections experience, you also possess at least 3-5 years of relevant accounts, reconciliations, international transaction processes - including exposure to activities such as debt collection of overdue accounts and GST. You’re also someone who enjoys being an active member of the team, participating in team meetings and bringing new idea to help improve and provide efficiencies to our function.
Additionally, you also possess:
- Hands on experience with Xero, Financial Force and Sales Force systems or similar finance platforms
- Exceptional skills in MS office
- Sound knowledge of organisational accounting procedures and out of the box thinking
- Well-developed prioritisation and time management skills, and ability to work to deadlines in a timely and efficient manner
- Agile and fast paced learner who is adaptable to change
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and quality in work
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at different level, ability to escalate concerns, and work with others to resolve problems
- Must possess a high level of discretion for handling confidential information and monetary transactions
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
