Business Intelligence Principal

**Our Data & Analytics practice is looking for a Data Visualization leader to join our team.** As a Data Visualization Consultant, you will develop reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration and visual analytics using existing and emerging tools and technologies. You should have expertise in data storytelling and information design to drive practical insights. You should also enjoy using your technical skills and creative approaches to build backend data solutions in the cloud.

**What You’ll Do**
- Develop reports, dashboards & scorecards, data exploration and visual analytics using existing and emerging tools and technologies.
- Drive sales and operations for a rapidly growing practice area within Slalom.
- Prepare data by extracting it from a variety of different data sources, blending it together to make it usable.
- Build data visualizations and dashboards that are extensible, scalable, and performant, often in a highly agile and iterative process.
- Perform data analysis that will support and enhance reports & dashboards.
- Work as part of a team to design and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with other practice areas to develop collaterals, including go-to-market offerings, marketing materials, and thought leadership based on key trends and use cases.
- Lead business development and delivery of projects to solve complex client problems and deliver actionable insights across verticals.
- Drive knowledge sharing and management locally and in collaboration with other markets to provide innovative solutions to our local clients.
- Mentor and developing consultants of all skill and experience levels.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Exceptional experience in the field of Business Intelligence, Information Management, consulting, or work in a relevant industry role with a specialty in Data Visualization.
- Proven hands-on expertise with at least one enterprise Business Intelligence tool (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Spotfire, QuickSight, Data Studio, MicroStrategy, Looker, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, including the ability to write stored procedures, triggers, analytic/windowing functions, and tuning.
- Knowledge of implementing design best practices to ensure dashboard design consistency for the best user experience.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, with emphasis on presentation skills.
- Experience creating data solutions in public cloud environments: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Expertise in data storytelling and information design (design thinking, semantically resonant colors, Gestalt principles).
- Expertise on data viz development best practices, self-service analytics models, data viz security and governance.
- Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both a technical and non-technical manner.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
