**Principal Cyber Intelligence Strategist**
- Clerk Grade 11/12 salary starting at $139,787 - $161,663 + superannuation and leave loading
- Temporary 11- month opportunity parental leave cover (full time hours, 35hr work week)

**About the Role**
The Principal Cyber Intelligence Strategist leads the intelligence function in the Intelligence and Response Team, with a focus on evaluating, continuously improving and coordinating intelligence capabilities and output for both internal and external stakeholders. The Intelligence and Response Team in Cyber Security NSW leads and coordinates intelligence and the NSW Government whole-of-government response to cyber incidents and threats. The team combines both cyber security knowledge and processes with intelligence methodologies to monitor, analyse and report on the cyber threat landscape.

As the Principal Cyber Intelligence Strategist, you will provide leadership and expertise to deliver advice, intelligence and reporting on cyber security threats and issues.

**Your day-to-day **work will include oversight of intelligence activities, stakeholder engagement and leading and driving strategic projects, including:

- Identifying, assessing, and implementing cyber security and intelligence frameworks and improvements to methodologies and processes to support incident response and intelligence functions
- Identifying executive stakeholder requirements and assist in prioritising stream and analyst workloads to meet agreed outcomes and timeframes
- Developing and leading projects and establishing strategic priorities
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with key external stakeholders,
- Ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate and outcomes-focused intelligence assessments and analysis to support, iand influence decision makers
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and SMEs on cyber security threats and issues in order to monitor, detect, report and share information and intelligence on incidents, threats and trends to support informed decision making
- Strong communication skills with the ability to foster effective and collaborative working relationships, manage expectations, and lead the activities of others to achieve effective outcomes and support the strategic direction of the team and organisation.
- A mature understanding of the cyber threat landscape, with the ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical way to provide advice and guidance to stakeholders, including senior personnel and executives.
- Experience in strategic, operational and tactical intelligence within a cyber context.
- Qualifications, certifications and/or relevant industry experience in cyber threat intelligence.

**Essential Requirements**:
For this position you must be an Australian Citizen with a Baseline National Security Clearance.
