**About Liquor and Gaming NSW**

We are at the pointy end of industry supervision for the liquor, gaming, wagering, casino and registered club sectors in NSW. **About the role**

In this strategic role, you will plan and conduct complex intelligence projects, helping to identify high-risk activities across the market. By delivering timely, data-driven insights, you will support decision-making processes that influence tactical, operational, and strategic outcomes. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a vibrant industry while mentoring a team and managing critical intelligence initiatives.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Lead complex intelligence and analytics projects to detect high-risk consumer and business activities.
- Deliver high-quality intelligence products to inform decision-making at various levels.
- Conduct in-depth trend analysis and predictive modelling for risk management.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the industry's safety and integrity.
- Mentor team members, manage project workloads, and ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Identify emerging issues that may impact consumer confidence in NSW.
- Support investigations by providing admissible evidence through intelligence techniques.

**What you’ll need to be successful**:

- Extensive experience in strategic intelligence analysis, ideally in a regulatory or compliance environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of tailoring complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- A proven ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
- High-level problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical, data-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in using technology and analytics tools to support intelligence work.
- A commitment to ethical standards and a keen understanding of the regulatory environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in intelligence or analytics.

**Essential requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience related to the discipline of intelligence or analytics.
