My client, a specialised Victorian government agency who interact with multiple state government departments and other agencies, are seeking an experienced Tenancy Facility Services Manager for a 24 month fixed term contract.
**Your new role**
This is an exciting opportunity where no two days are the same, for an adaptable, amenable and experienced Facility Manager. Providing leadership to one direct report (administrative officer), this role plays a critical role affecting and shaping a continued positive workplace environment, allowing business objectives to be successfully delivered and senior executive stakeholders are effectively serviced.
Day to day you will be responsible for;
- The coordination of planned and reactive maintenance of both hard (essential services, HVAC) and soft services (general office supplies, furniture, equipment etc.) including attending to minor maintenance repairs/replacements yourself or engaging with service providers directly, across two floors of tenanted shared office spaces
- facilities related purchasing, contract and contractor coordination, asset and fleet management (bookings, logbook and fuel card management)
- Desk allocation including hot desking, Space planning/floor allocation activities for future strategic growth activities
- Providing advice and support for any lease renewals or lease renegotiations
**What you'll need to succeed**
This role would ideally suit someone who is looking to take a step back from managing a large-scale or multi-site facility
- Demonstrated and solid experience in a similar role within building/facilities management - managing and delivering facilities services and activities within a complex physical environment
- Demonstrated experience in space planning, floor/desk allocation and relocation activities
- Strong communication and people skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at different levels including senior executives and board members
- Solid knowledge of HVAC, ESM, hard and soft services with previous experience in fleet management (highly desirable)
- Solution-focused with a keen eye for continuous improvement and a proactive approach with the ability to respond quickly to change and day to day issues
