VCAT serves the community by resolving civil and administrative disputes and making decisions in human rights and guardianship cases. VCAT services a diverse range of Victorian disputes, from residential tenancy matters to complex building and property and human rights matters, which have a deep reach into the Victorian community and a direct impact on the economy, in planning, property, health and small business.
VCAT's status as a Tribunal, rather than a court, ensures that it operates with flexibility and informality. This is essential given that VCAT finalises over 83,000 cases a year, with its users coming from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and sectors.
VCAT is headquartered in the Melbourne CBD and delivers its services online and in person across Victoria through its CBD venues and three standalone suburban venues and the network of regional court venues.
About the role
The Manager, Facilities sits within the Finance and Business Services division. The role will lead and manage all facilities and building services including security, fleet and maintenance, emergency management and general office management for VCAT offices across the state.
The Manager, Facilities manages the facilities management team who are responsible for the day-to-day management of VCAT's primary facility at 55 King Street, Melbourne and other metropolitan and regional locations, including day-to-day engagement with Property Managers, property services contractors and external suppliers, responding to hearing room requirements, management of vehicles and car parking, ordering office supplies, security management, and assisting with special event management.
The Manager, Facilities will have knowledge of facilities management industry trends and best practice. The incumbent, will have demonstrated experience in project management, contract management, vendor management, procurement and dealing with budgets.

- Demonstrated experience in successfully establishing and maintaining stakeholder engagement and consultation with diverse and complex stakeholder groups.
