**About the business**

The Craft & Co hospitality businesses are made of a restaurant & events space in Collingwood, and warehouse bar in Preston.

Our Collingwood venue operate alongside a brewery and distillery, and together combine to make a unique customer interactive experience. Our venues showcase ‘makers’ and their products and provide a warm and inviting atmosphere and environment to visit.

The Craft & Co is the home of Australia's original and longest running Gin Market and Award winning gins.

Our dynamic venue allows for many types of functions from birthday dinners, product launches, weddings, and engagement parties, corporate functions to private workshops and more. The venue also offers multiple menu styles to cater for the diverse function spaces and events. The venue has capacity for 200-300 patrons.

**About the role**

Working closely with the Venue Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Build, execute and review strategies to meet revenue targets for the Function/Event stream of the business.
- Manage events/function calendar.
- Liaise with all department heads, Venue Manager, Head Chef and Front of House Manager on forthcoming events and functions.
- Work with Marketing Department at Head Office on driving the business of functions and events.
- Conduct client site inspections and scheduled client menu tastings.
- Provide regular forecasting reports to Group Financial Controller.
- Meet regularly with the Venue Manager and Head Chef to review targets, budgets, forecasting, operating procedures, pricing, menus and recruitment needs.
- Actively participate in relevant industry/hospitality/tourism industry networking events.
- Actively promote functions/events on all social media forums.
- Assist with rostering for events and functions.
- Supervise and close off a shift as required if running a event or function.
- **Ordinary hours are day shifts (Tuesday - Saturday). Some flexibility required to meet the needs of the business.**
- 3-5 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience in event management.
- Excellent presentation skills & professionalism.
- Must have good time management: run calendar efficiently.
- Show initiative, strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with the internal and external customer of the business.
- Ability to drive growth in new & repeat business for functions and events.
- The ability to influence others and lead by example.
- A natural ability to engage with clients and connect with customers.
- Ability to oversee the floor staff and execute events/functions flawlessly, when required.
- Can work under pressure and solution focused.
- A keen eye for detail and creative flair.
- Ability to delegate appropriately and successfully.
- Ability to lead a team to success.

**Salary**: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
