**The Role**
The Directorates of Enterprise Lessons is looking for dedicated business analysts and business intelligence officers, who have a genuine interest in problem solving, systems thinking and strategic thinking to influence enterprise transformation in Defence. You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team of passionate analytics/insights professionals to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a range of complex issues.

The role will be diverse, allowing you to work across a broad range of areas such as communication (digital/traditional), program management, stakeholder engagement and research. You will have proven experience in the following:

- Business analysis, including evaluation of business processes, anticipating requirements, management of risks, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implement solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and build and manage excellent relationships.
- Investigation and recommendation of solutions for complex management issues.
- Research and knowledge management abilities, strong analytical abilities and practiced leadership and people management skills.

The successful applicant will need to be flexible, have the ability to work effectively in an integrated team and be prepared to work independently when required.

We are seeking team players with highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills, who genuinely believe in collaborating both within and across organisational boundaries to achieve outcomes. In your role within the Enterprise Evaluation and Performance Branch, you will help deliver a new performance analysis capability to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. This role presents an opportunity for the successful applicant to use innovative evaluation methods to generate an evidence base for tracking enterprise transformation in Defence. Individuals with prior experience in business analysis, problem solving, project management and capability delivery are strongly encouraged to apply.

**About our Team**
You will work in Enterprise Lessons Team, Enterprise Transformation and Governance Division (ETG), which is leading the way in creating a high performing Defence enterprise with a continuous improvement culture.

The Division is focused on enabling better enterprise level outcomes through a number of diverse functions including:

- Providing direct support and advice to the Associate Secretary;
- Developing, assessing, implementing and monitoring Defence transformation concepts and strategies;
- Managing and enabling delivery through providing risk, benefits and change management support and governance of Defence’s Transformation Program;
- Delivering enterprise level integration, planning, performance management and risk management functions; and
- Driving greater alignment and performance in the delivery of enterprise functions and activities.
