Newly created roles and a unique opportunity to launch a new service model for our Parking Services Team to deliver on our Customer First commitment to the Boroondara community.
About the Role
We’re seeking two enthusiastic and motivated individuals to bring our vision to life for an industry-leading parking service for the City of Boroondara. You will be coached and mentored by our existing and experienced night shift team to deliver parking services to maintain safety, improve traffic flow, and encourage compliance with parking restrictions in our bustling municipality.
The position involves a 4-on, 4-off shift rotation of 10-hour shifts, providing an attractive lifestyle balance to reward the hard work and demands of the role. Your work will begin with the day teams and extend into the evenings (2 pm-midnight from Tuesday to Saturday, and 1 pm-11 pm on Sundays and Mondays). Working in pairs after dark, you’ll provide a superior service that is in high demand from our community.
Key Responsibilities
Using modern handheld technology, you’ll issue parking infringement notices where breaches occur and ensure clear, accurate documentation of offenses.
You’ll also educate the community on parking regulations and respond to inquiries with a strong focus on delivering superior customer service.
Responsibilities will extend to supporting community safety through reporting damaged council assets and addressing amenity concerns.
You may also assist in vehicle removal and enforcement of tow-away zones when required.
Additionally, you’ll contribute to training and supporting new team members, help manage parking-related investigations, and, on occasion, collaborate with and support other enforcement teams.

Your experience in law enforcement, customer service, or other fast-paced environments has equipped you with the ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and manage your time effectively.
You’re proficient in using technology, including handheld devices, and have a keen eye for detail to ensure compliance and accuracy in all aspects of your work.
Employment Requirements
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia
Current Victorian Driver's Licence
Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check, Working With Children’s Check and Medical Check.
You’ll also need to be physically fit, as the role involves extended periods of walking.
