Based in Camberwell, our business is growing and so is our team. We are now looking to add another motivated **Design Architect / Building Designer**to our already amazing team.

Please note, that this role is a full-time role; Five days a week in the office. Undercover parking is provided.

**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, this role is primarily responsible for obtaining design briefs and producing concept sketches whilst taking into account planning overlays and Rescode requirements to provide clients with a design for their site.

The Design Draftsperson will primarily prepare custom designs which will then be converted into working drawings. The designs will consist of one off customs, dual occupancy and modifications to existing designs to provide clients with a solution suitable to the site whilst maintaining approved construction methods.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- A minimum of 5 years previous residential design experience in Australia
- Experience with client briefs and meetings
- Relevant tertiary building and construction qualifications.
- Read and interpret architectural working drawings, engineering, soil reports and specifications
- Excellent understanding of residential construction methods & NCC 2202
- A good understanding of local planning overlays.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team
- 3D presentation skills
- Flair in design with trending materials
- Exceptional with using tools such as: ArchiCAD, Microsoft Office etc.
