**About the Role**

We are actively looking for an **Asset and Contracts Officer** to join our Engineering Services team. We are a diverse team and with the assistance of our contractors, provide an efficient and effective operation of engineering, building and biomedical services.

Your role involves maintaining the asset and maintenance database (MEX) and developing and maintaining service contracts for engineering services.

**Responsibilities include undertaking various maintenance activities**:

- **Provides effective and efficient delivery of maintenance and engineering services**:

- Maintains the asset and maintenance contracts
- Investigate and compile documentation contracts
- Ensure the hospital complies with all relevant legislation, WA Health Facility Guidelines and Australian Standards.

**You will report to the Engineering Services Manager.**

**This key responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to;**
- Barcodes all assets. Dispose of assets in MEX.
- Set up preventive maintenance schedules.
- Generates planned preventative maintenance work orders
- Generate reports as required for asset and maintenance management
- Ensure MEX is kept accurate and up to date
- Co-ordinate capex documentation
- Compile all information for engineering contracts
- Performs evaluation of maintenance contracts to ensure quality and cost effective is maintained
- Assist in preparations for accreditation
- **Other duties as required.**

**About you**

The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
**_ Essential_**
- Good understanding of engineering services within a healthcare environment
- **Experience in developing engineering contracts**:

- Understanding of the key Australian Standards, associated maintenance knowledge and its combined influence on the operational performance of the hospital
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work without supervision and is proactive
- Demonstrated sound organisation and prioritisation skills.

**_Desirable_**
- Good understanding of the MEX asset and maintenance software

**Our offer is base hourly rate ranging from $39.90 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.**
