**About the company**
As a privately owned mining and exploration organisation, this group have a well-established site within the Weipa Bauxite region and currently hold the largest private total tenement package of around 1900 Sq km within the region. They have other mining interests within Queensland and have recently been granted approval for a 75% site expansion.

**About the role**
This is an opportunity for an individual looking to step up in their career. In this role you will play a key part in the financial operation of the group, working alongside the CFO you will provide direct support in the commercial delivery of mining contracts for both up and down stream activities. In addition, you will maintain mine site financial models, carry out commercial compliance reviews and risk analysis, develop and maintain financial forecasting, strategies business performance improvements, support the development of annual budgets and forecasts, work on financial reporting for quarterly ASX reports. Your day will have may moving parts with variety and challenges.

**Duties**
- Support the CFO in leading the organisations financial objectives
- Liaise with all internal and externals stakeholders relating to process and financial management
- Review and strategies business performance improvements
- Maintain and deliver financial models, reports and budget forecast
- Maintain project and business operational and variation costs

**Skills and Experience**
- Hold qualifications as a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant
- Have sound verbal and written communication skills
- Possess sound time management and organisational skills
- Have a flexible approach to problem solving
- Have strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Have a detailed understanding of financial structures, systems and operational requirements
