- Location: Parramatta with access flexible working arrangements available
- Salary: Clerk Grade 5/6 with base salary ranging from $97,027 to $107,059 per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
- Ongoing and temporary opportunities. Possibility for conversion to ongoing for temporary roles.

**About the roles**

We are seeking to fill for the following CL5/6 opportunities across the Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing (TLSW) division:
**Assistant Policy Officer**

Support policy initiatives and reforms through high-quality administrative services, stakeholder liaison, and monitoring and reporting activities. You’ll be hands-on with drafting documents, coordinating communication, and helping ensure projects align with departmental goals.

**Assistant Policy & Project Officer**

Be involved in both policy development and project execution. You’ll assist with research, contribute to project planning and tracking, prepare correspondence and briefings, and support policy implementation through coordination and stakeholder engagement.

**Assistant Project Officer**

Contribute to the successful delivery of key education projects by supporting project planning, research, reporting, stakeholder communication, and administrative coordination to ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope.

These roles provide crucial support that enables our educators and staff to focus on what they do best: delivering quality education to students across NSW.

**About you**

We’re seeking experienced professionals with:

- A valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Assistant Policy Officer**:

- Strong organisational and coordination skills to manage documentation, scheduling, and information flow related to policy projects.

**Assistant Policy & Project Officer**:

- Experience providing support in policy development or project delivery, preferably in a government or public service environment.

**Assistant Project Officer**:

- Demonstrated experience in contributing to the delivery of projects, including administrative and coordination support
- Familiarity with project lifecycle stages, governance, risk management and reporting in line with government or organisational frameworks.

**About the Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing division**

The Teaching, Learning and Student Wellbeing (TLSW) division strives to improve educational and wellbeing outcomes for every young child and every student. The division includes 5 directorates providing support to schools:
**Curriculum**directorate leads coordination of special programs and leading the department’s response to the NSW Curriculum Reform supporting curriculum implementation across P-12.
- **Inclusion & Wellbeing** directorate leads coordination of state-wide strategy, policies and programs to lift student participation, health and wellbeing, outcomes for students with disability, maximising access, inclusion and wellbeing of students in education from P-12.
- **Student Support and Specialist Programs**directorate provides state-wide student support services and specialist programs to support student engagement in Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs, child wellbeing and mental health, and as
