**About the Role**

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a two Assistant Project Officer’s to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and aboriginal heritage.

The Assistant Project Officer is responsible for undertaking diverse project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and related administrative tasks.

**About You**
There are two Assistant Project Officer roles available;
As an Assistant Project Officer within the Safety Risk and Compliance (SRC) team you are adept at providing project, administrative and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans. You will communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues and provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating committee meetings, preparing papers and procurement to support project management delivery and other tasks as required.

In addition to the above requirements, the Assistant Project Officer (training coordinator) will support the development and coordination of training that the SRC team delivers and facilities through liaising with local areas, training providers and monitoring the quality of training. The role will assist with ensuring NPWS are providing suitable training that meets NPWS context needs and work, health and safety requirements.

**Essential Requirements**
- Experience in the provision of administrative and support services
- Experience in development and delivery of programs and projects
- Understanding of contemporary project management principles and practices.
