We are seeking a Project Engineer with 5–7 years’ relevant experience to join our Sydney office in Mascot.

Your Responsibilities:
- Review client project requirements, define scope of works, and assist in preparing fee proposals
- Liaise and negotiate with clients, suppliers, and sub-consultants
- Manage development of documentation (town planning, design, engineering) in line with scopes, specifications, budgets, and timeframes
- Review and check design drawings and documentation
- Prepare and submit applications to statutory authorities and utility service providers
- Prepare and tender design documentation packages
- Manage construction contracts, act as Superintendent and client representative during construction
- Prepare project status and cost reports
The Successful Applicant Will:
- Hold a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or an engineering discipline (Civil, Structural, Electrical)
- Have 5–7 years’ relevant experience demonstrating knowledge of construction principles, design, approvals, project lifecycle management, site construction practices, and safety procedures etc.
- Experience within the fuel/energy industry and commercial/retail building industry would be highly regarded
- Be self-motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft Project competency highly regarded
- Have excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) in particular, demonstrate a high level of technical writing ability (reports, professional emails and letters)
- Have experience preparing documentation for all stages of a project
- Be familiar with statutory authority and operational work approval processes
- Have industry experience in a role that has demonstrated a knowledge base in construction principles, design principles, building approval/compliance, site construction practices and safety procedures etc.
