**POSITION: Technical Sales Representative - Australia**

**1. Role Summary**

To develop and grow new business in Australia by driving the specification of SOPREMA systems in commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects and providing support to builders, architects, consulting engineers, commercial property owners, government entities/councils, and other targeted specifiers.

**2. Key Responsibilities**

**Market/Sales Responsibilities**
- Analysing project intelligence and compiling list of prospective clients
- Acquiring and updating knowledge of competitors’ systems and services, and market trends
- Visiting regular and prospective key industry stakeholders and clients (including but not limited to builders, architects, consulting engineers, commercial and industrial property owners, government entities and councils) to establish and act on selling opportunities
- Assessing customers’ needs and specify the most appropriate SOPREMA systems while maximising sales revenues and margins
- Work closely with distributors to ensure specifications are maintained and converted to sales
- Coordinate and cooperate with all in house departments to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance
- Be a key actor in the organisation of SOPREMA events which target builders, architects and any specifiers
- Continued maintenance & upgrading of product & technical knowledge base

**Operational Responsibilities**
- Advise of major project requirements and timelines
- Advise of significant anticipated positive or negative changes in product sales volumes

**Corporate Responsibilities**
- Create a team environment based on culture
- All clients’ calls returned the same day
- Promote the image of the company by acting and dressing in a professional manner
- Participate actively in various internal meetings and events

**3. Reporting**
- Provide weekly report to Regional Manager on project pipeline through Salesforce
- Organise weekly meetings with Distributor to share project intelligence

**4. Position Requirements**
- To represent the company in a professional manner at all times
- Take ownership of customer issues and problems until resolved
- Contribute to the achievement of company sales and operating profit budgets
- Foster a positive team environment and help others where necessary
- Periodically visit job sites
- Frequent travels to different cities in Australia
- Be available to travel abroad if necessary

**5. Key Performance Indicators**
- Working with the Sales and Operational team to achieve budgeted sales at the required GP margin
- Specification Rate
- All key responsibilities as listed have been fulfilled

**6. Qualifications/Experience**
- Bachelor Degree in Commerce or any related field
- A minimum of 5 years related experience
- Knowledge of the construction industry is essential
- In-depth knowledge of modified bitumen, PVC waterproofing membranes, Liquid waterproofing, insulation and vapour permeable systems for the full building envelope.
- Familiarity with construction contract documents, specifications and working drawings, required
- Self-motivation and organisation skills
- Strategic thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Persistent, ambitious and have a strong drive for success

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (required)
