Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.

About the Role
The Manager - Executive Correspondence and Government Relations plays a critical role in driving the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority's various communications outputs. The position provides high level support for the timely and efficient allocation, review, drafting and production of executive correspondence, including but not limited to ministerial briefings, parliamentary correspondence, and correspondence on behalf of the Delivery Authority. This opportunity is offered as a three-year fixed term employment contract.
Reporting to the Executive Director - Executive Services, this role is critical in driving the Delivery Authority's various communications outputs and acting as a conduit between the Delivery Authority, the Department of Transport and Main Roads and the office of the Minister responsible for Cross River Rail (the Minister's Office) to coordinate Ministerial, Parliamentary and related correspondence and liaison requirements

**Key Duties include**:

- Research and write a range of complex communications including ministerial and government correspondence, reports and briefings.
- Critically edit and review correspondence, reports and other documents to ensure that issues are addressed, information is factual, accurate, consistent, and succinct.
- Support senior executives to develop high quality communications and briefings on emerging issues.
- Coordinate and track Ministerial, Cabinet, Parliamentary business and related correspondence.
- Maintain the integrity of correspondence registers and records.
- Liaise with other government departments and the Minister's Office regarding correspondence matters.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of Parliamentary Estimates Committee meetings.

About You
The successful applicant will possess excellent written communications skills with demonstrated experience in the editing and creation of a range of high-level correspondence and communications. You have relevant experience in executive and government liaison and a strong understanding of government processes.
You are a confident communicator who can build relationships and negotiate positive outcomes with senior stakeholders. With a highly analytical mind you can easily synthesise and document complex information in meaningful formats to suit differing audiences. These skills and experience will be supported by excellent time management and delegation abilities coupled with advanced IT skills for office software and records management systems.
