**The Organisation**:
This Queensland State Government Department plays a major role in the continued employee and environmental safety within the resources and mining space. Operating across 8 major divisions and across 4 industries, this Department is a key piece in improving the lives of employees and natural sustainability in their key areas. Based in the Brisbane CBD offices, their finance team is looking to add an experienced, knowledgeable Financial Analyst (Project Finance Officer) to join them on an initial 3 month contract with likelihood of extension.

**The Position**:
This role will require you to be comfortable working in a dynamic environment where you are able to respond to different priorities effectively. It will be fun, challenging and exciting with different projects to keep you engaged. Reporting into their Manager of Finance and Function Controlling as well as the Board. you will have direct exposure to working with senior level stakeholders across the business.

Key elements of the role include:

- Deliver & support a comprehensive business financial plans as part of internal supplier inputs to the Cost and Completion and Operative Plan process aligned to company standards and process
- Deliver timely, accurate and relevant analysis/reports that supports decision making
- Support business case and offer development with detailed costing & analysis
- Contribute towards high standards of quality, with continuous improvement focus
- Manage the balance between Program/Functional demand

Some of the key competencies required in the role include:

- Strong systems experience working on ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards, Pronto etc.)
- Powerbi experience mandatory
- You enjoy being hands-on and have incredibly strong attention to detail.
- You possess strong **Excel skills**:

- Previous experience working within a large scale organisation
- Confident and experienced in working in a fluid environment where you are required to reprioritise effectively
