About the Company

Davidson is working in partnership with a Queensland Government department to source a high-calibre Principal Finance Officer. This department supports a dynamic and multifaceted portfolio with a strong commitment to cultural and creative sector development.

About the Role

As Principal Finance Officer (AO7), you will support the Financial Strategy and Reporting Manager within the Arts Business Services unit. Your focus will be on delivering accurate, timely, and strategic financial insights across a variety of operational and capital business areas.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading asset accounting, capital project tracking, and compliance with stocktake and revaluation requirements
  • Managing TRIDATA reporting and ensuring integrity across financial systems (TechOne, CFM)
  • Supporting external and internal reporting, including statutory and departmental requirements
  • Providing monthly financial management reporting with risk and opportunity analysis
  • Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to improve financial literacy and practices

This position offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the strategic and operational financial management of a key government agency.

About You

You will be a seasoned financial professional with demonstrated experience in:

  • Government financial reporting and asset management
  • Managing complex stakeholder relationships in a dynamic environment
  • Interpreting and analysing financial data to influence decision-making
