As the **Technical Lead,** you will oversee the development, maintenance, and optimization of our SAP’s Business Technology Platform (BTP) platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform meets the organization's scalability, reliability, and performance needs. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP BTP Development modules(UI, extensions, Workflow), software architecture, and best practices in platform engineering.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

- Setting up foundations for BTP Technical build
- Coding standards, naming standards, Deployment standards and establishing frameworks for logging, monitoring, alerting.
- During Design:

- Participate in workshops and working groups with SIs to finalise the technical development approach for the program. This will include review of detailed design deliverables.
- EGL has already identified certain portals that will be built on BTP. This role will partner closely with the SIs for low level design.
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to design and implement robust platform architectures that meet the organization's performance, scalability, and security requirements.
- During Build:

- This role will build for POCs and MVPs of key deliverables for the team to gain momentum and also assist with building complex components.
- For the components built by SIs, this role will be the key EGL partner for alignment and technical governance through peer review and sign off.
- Ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA and other SAP modules.
- Work closely with project managers, architects, business leads, solution managers and functional analysts to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Lead the response to platform incidents, coordinating with the operations team to ensure timely resolution and minimize downtime.
- Ensure the platform complies with relevant regulations and industry standards, implementing security best practices to protect sensitive data and systems.
- Provide regular updates on priorities and progress.

What do we need from you

Now let’s talk about you:

- Proven experience (7 years) in designing and developing complex SAP builds.
- Understanding of the SAP BTP platform architecture and catalogue of services.
- Proficiency in SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAPM) and cloud development languages such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, or Python.
- Analytical, results-driven and a solution-oriented way of work.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Team player with excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
- Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
