We are seeking a Sydney-based Creative Lead (Creative Director) in 3D visualisation, design, or related creative fields. You will be responsible for setting the creative direction of projects, overseeing the design process, and leading a talented team of 3D production team, artists, and other creatives to deliver innovative, high-quality work. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with a passion for design excellence and a proven ability to inspire and guide a creative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Direction: Lead and define the creative vision for projects, ensuring a cohesive and compelling design narrative across all deliverables.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of designers, 3D artists, and creatives, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients and stakeholders to understand their vision, providing creative solutions that align with their goals and expectations.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee the creative process from concept through to execution, ensuring projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budgets.
  • Design Excellence: Ensure high-level creative output by guiding the design team in crafting visually stunning and innovative 3D visualisations, animations, and interactive experiences.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay at the forefront of design trends and technologies, integrating new tools and methods to enhance creative processes and outcomes.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, technical leads, and other departments to ensure creative visions are technically feasible and integrated seamlessly into project workflows.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular reviews of creative work, providing constructive feedback and ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in creative leadership, with a strong background in 3D visualisation, motion graphics, or interactive design.
  • Proven track record of leading creative teams and delivering high-quality projects in architectural visualisation, 3D design, or interactive media.
  • Expertise in 3D design tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, V-Ray, Unreal Engine, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of interactive technologies, including AR, VR, and realtime applications is a plus.
  • Exceptional creative vision and the ability to inspire and guide a team of designers and artists.
  • Strong experience in client-facing roles, with the ability to present ideas clearly and manage client expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of successful creative projects across different media, especially in architectural visualisation, animation, or interactive experiences.
  • Degree or relevant certification in Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred.
