Job Details:

- *This is an expression of interest only vacancy*- Job Summary: This position will coordinate and oversee the planning and delivery of training and assessment services within Cubic. This includes allocation of training resources, continuous improvement of training quality, as well as providing delivery of training.
This position typically works under general supervision and direction and will regularly exercise discretionary decision making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan training and assessment sessions to ensure the required resources are available to support the delivery
- Deliver and coordinate training in accordance with the requirements of the training strategy using training methods that progressively instill knowledge and skills into the learner
- Conduct and coordinate assessments in accordance with the principles of assessment and the designated assessment strategy
- Participate in Cubic assessment moderation and validation activities to maintain the alignment of assessment with industry expectations and training package requirements
- Contribute to the development of curriculum, teaching methods and resources and student assessment procedures. Conduct regular review of trainer lessons and assessments to continue professional development and continuous improvement of training
- Provide guidance and assistance to staff on educational and administrative issues and career development and maintain staff relations conducive to a productive work environment
- Undertake professional development activities to continue to develop competence and currency of skills and knowledge for self and all trainers. Update Cubic professional development register to provide a true record of professional development activity
- Ensure training documentation is appropriately managed and maintained
- Maintain equipment and training aids to ensure they are serviceable and safe for operation
- Monitor the safety of students at all times. Always put the safety of students before any other priority or activity
- Protect the privacy of students in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles
- Respect the needs of each student and make adjustment to training and assessment to accommodate these needs of individuals without compromising the integrity of the desired outcome
- Contribute to implementing emergency prevention activities and response procedures
- This role may also be required to assist with the planning, coordination and setup and take down of live training, as well as general support to training exercises

- Minimum Job Requirements:
- Qualifications
Essential:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Skills/Experience/Knowledge
- 3+ years’ experience as a trainer
- Current Open drivers licence
- First Aid experience is highly desirable
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Personal Qualities
- Ability to prioritise projects and work under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate well verbally and in writing
- Able to work autonomously whilst contributing to the team
- An ability to work in a demanding environment
