Sustainability & Brand Standards Manager - Fixed

Unique opportunity to manage Metcash’s private label brands to ensure new products meet industry and government requirements for sustainable sourcing and standards.

**This role is a 6 month fixed term contract**

What you’ll do

Manage close partnerships with RSPCA, APIQ, MSC, ASC and other relevant animal welfare agencies and government bodies

Actively work with private label suppliers to mitigate the social and environmental impacts of their products, ensuring products are not sourced from unsustainable sources

Upholding Metcash specific sustainability policies and guidelines, in line with gold standard industry practise

Traceability of supply chain and sign off all NPD products bearing a sustainability claim

Keeping up with development in sustainability space, monitor trends and continuously improve the process to ensuring Metcash brands are at high standard

Engaging with marketing team to ensure trends in sustainability and customer’s sentiment are aligned and clearly communicated

Provide governance support to private label development process & track and report on compliance against targets

Add hoc project management for sustainability deliverables

What you’ll bring

Working knowledge within in sustainability area (i.e animal welfare, environmental sustainability etc)

Ability to develop robust working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Strong attention to detail, and ability to manage deadlines, following up stakeholders where needed

Great communication skills and people skills
