**In this role, you'll**:
Work with the Sustainability team in the Safety, Environment and Regulation division supporting the team in providing strategic advice to support and champion sustainability iniatives across Transport projects and programs, working to achieve optimal sustainability outcomes for communities in NSW.

You will assist in the provision of sustainability expertise to support the development of strategies and processes to integrate sustainability opportunities and ensure continual improvement across road projects, road maintenance and operations. By building key stakeholder relationships and advising on key sustainability issues such as climate risk, carbon management, circular economy and resource efficiency you will assist in identifying and evaluating sustainability opportunities and assisting in driving the achievement of targeted objectives. Major projects you will be supporting include, but are not limited to: M12, M7-M12 Integration, Western Harbour Tunnel and the Sydney Road Asset Performance Contract.

Please note this is a full-time fixed term role to 31.12.25.

This is a hybrid role based in Sydney with a requirement to attend the office 1-2 days pw.

**About you**

You are a passionate sustainability professional looking for an opportunity to drive impactful change that betters the lives of the NSW community. You must have relevant tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental science, environmental engineering, climate change science, or other relevant disciplines or experience.

You have excellent stakeholder engagement skills with experience in managing multidisciplinary stakeholder relationships to facilitate policy development and project management.

Ideally, you have had experience with sustainability rating tools such as Infrastructure Sustainability ratings, Greenstar, Sustainable Design Guidelines or equivalent.

You will be required to work collaboratively and independently to influence and solve sustainability-related issues across the business.
