-Job description

**Some career choices have more impact than others.**

At HSBC we exist with the purpose of _Opening up a World of Opportunity._ We use our unique expertise, capabilities, breadth, and perspectives to provide opportunities for our customers and colleagues through global connectivity. We bring together the people, ideas and capital that nurture progress and growth, helping to create a better world - for our customers, our people, our investors, our communities, and the planet we all share.

As an HSBC employee in Australia, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities, competitive pay, an embedded flexible working culture and a range of employee benefits. These include market-leading subsidised private health cover, enhanced parental pay and support when returning to work, subsidised banking products and services, bonus leave days and wellness programmes including
discounted gym memberships.

Taking on the role of Digital Product Manager, you will be a key member of Wholesale Strategic Change, integral to supporting HSBC’s strategy of Digitising at Scale. Reporting to the Wholesale Head of Strategic change, your primary focus will be building the Digital Product strategy for the Wholesale Bank and developing digital product features to create seamless, efficient, and innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses. In doing so, you will interact regularly with stakeholders across the Wholesale banking business to understand requirements and desired outcomes, mapping the customer journey to develop solutions utilising Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Digitisation technologies.

Joining HSBC, you will become a part of a dynamic global organisation, in the Australian local market which is positioned to pilot and influence technology adoption at a global level. You will therefore have the opportunity to enhance technology innovation and outcomes for user experience internally and for client service across the bank.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Defining and communicating a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the business objectives of our Wholesale Bank. Leading the end-to-end development of digital products, from ideation to launch, ensuring they meet market needs and deliver exceptional value to our colleagues and clients.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, design, marketing, operations, and client coverage, to ensure the successful delivery and adoption of digital products.
- Conducting thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.
Championing the voice of the customer by incorporating feedback and insights into the product development process to enhance user experience and satisfaction.
- Implementing agile practices to ensure efficient and iterative product development, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Establishing objectives and key results (OKRs) and using data-driven insights to track product performance and make informed decisions.
- Putting together business cases, business realisation plans and ideation cases to embed new features to grow the Digital agenda.
- Building strong relationships, adopting a joined-up approach and ensure regular and positive engagement with key support functions such as Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc. in driving Digital changes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Proven track record as a Product Owner or similar role in the financial services industry, preferably within commercial banking or fintech.
- Strong leadership and project management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Solid understanding of digital technologies, software development, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep empathy for customer and colleagues needs and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
- Strong commercial orientation, track record of balancing risks versus rewards and maximising the cost effectiveness and profitability for the business.
- Attention to detail, able to work independently as well as part of a team with strong commitment to working and thinking collaboratively.
- Bachelor’s degree in a Finance and/or business-related field.

We value different perspectives, we succeed together, collaborating across boundaries, we take responsibility, holding ourselves accountable to get things done. Through these values, HSBC is committed to building a culture where all employees are appreciated and respected and where opinions count. We take pride in providing a workplace that fosters continuous professional development, flexible working and opportunities to grow in an inclusive environment. Applicati
