About the role

The Capital Works Manager is responsible for the successful management of all capital works within the region, managing the quote, estimate and tender process, preparing project briefs, managing project budgets and building strong relationships with key stakeholders; Parks Services Branch and the City of Melbourne while ensuring the highest level of safety and integrity are met at all times.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
Essential Criteria

The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
Current Driver’s License
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Project Management
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously
Demonstrated experience in effective people management
OHS&E awareness including - JSEA’s, SWP’s, emergency evacuation
procedures, manual handling, traffic management and refuelling
A high energy level
The ability to undertake duties in a safe and responsible manner
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
The ability to interact with a variety of people from the general public to senior
Managers

Desirable Criteria
Tertiary Qualification minimum of AQF Level 5 (minimum) in Project Management, Landscaping/Horticulture or currently studying
Supervision of open space or landscape construction projects/services
Demonstrated experience delivering playground, sports ground (courts, cricket nets, etc.), landscape (retainer walls, concreted surfaces etc.), irrigation and related outdoor projects
