We are a national transport company seeking an experienced Transport Manager to oversee and direct our Road Feeder Service / Interstate product.

This is a hands-on role with responsibilities including:

- Direction and oversight of the operations.
- Divisional economic performance.
- Ensuring all processes are implemented and operating to the required standards.
- Providing excellent customer service and encouraging a customer focussed environment;
- Cooperating with and being knowledgeable of all HVNL, COR & WHS policies and procedures.
- Work with the Safety & Compliance Team to develop and implement divisional standard operating procedures, conduct safety audits and attend meetings.
- Assist the Sales Team with marketing services by providing information about available capacity and working with existing customers in “organic” sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the Fleet Maintenance Team to ensure the availability of safe resources.
- Work with Key Leadership Team to implement key service level criteria and KPIs.
- Develop new business.
- Create internal customer service standards and continue the positive cultural experience for all staff
- Attend customer meetings and reviewing, building relationships at all levels whilst developing opportunities for all products within both the existing and new business.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:

- 5+ years managing a transport & logistics operation including fleet, staff and depot.
- Chain of Responsibility / NHVR knowledge & compliance.
- Complex roster management and service delivery24x7 (365)
- Face-to-face operational meetings and reviews experience with Senior Management and Customers.
- Performance, project, and change management.
- Dangerous Goods Awareness certification.
- Airfreight/cargo industry knowledge.
- Heavy Vehicle driving experience in the past is preferred but not mandatory.
