Operations Duty Manager – Aviation & Logistics

Wymap Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Duty Manager to oversee daily operations across our Banksmeadow depot and contracted airport sites.

About the Role

Reporting to the NSW Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and coordinating operational shifts, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer service standards are consistently met while working the Sundays - Thursdays 5:00am - 1:00pm Shift.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Direction and oversight of operational shifts, including staff performance, time and attendance, incident response, and safety
  • Managing operational teams and liaising with customers and CTO representatives to maximise service delivery and fleet utilisation
  • Conducting site visits, toolbox talks, and driver observations to ensure quality and compliance
  • Overseeing fleet pre-starts, presentation, and maintenance reporting
  • Managing rostering and staff hours for operational efficiency
  • Ensuring WHS, HVNL (CoR), and company compliance standards are implemented and maintained
  • Leading emergency and incident response as required
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining strong customer relationships

About You

You're an experienced operations professional with a strong background in transport, logistics, or aviation. You demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and fairness in your leadership, and you can balance hands-on operational management with effective administration and compliance oversight.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • 5+ years in an operational or supervisory management role
  • Airfreight, aviation, or cargo industry experience (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of HVNL and CoR compliance requirements
  • Proven experience managing rosters, staff performance, and WHS obligations
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Preferred qualifications and licences include:
  • Certificate III or higher in Transport & Logistics
  • Heavy Vehicle Licence (preferred)
  • High-Risk Work Licence (LF)
  • RACA, ADA, and ASIC certifications
  • First Aid and Fatigue Risk Management certificates
