Wymap Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Fleet Manager to take ownership of the company's national fleet operations. Based at our Banksmeadow site, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of fleet performance, safety, and efficiency across our nationwide network.

About the Role

As the Fleet Manager, you'll oversee the maintenance, reliability, and optimisation of Wymap Group's diverse vehicle fleet. You'll lead preventative maintenance programs, manage compliance requirements, and ensure the safe, cost-effective, and sustainable operation of all assets.

This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic planning, supplier management, and operational execution ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all fleet repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance schedules to maximise reliability and vehicle uptime
• Supervise and direct company mechanics and workshop staff to ensure timely and quality repairs
• Liaise with insurers for claim management and maintain accurate fleet service, repair, and registration records
• Coordinate external suppliers and workshops to achieve cost-effective maintenance solutions
• Provide technical advice, on-the-job training, and support to operational staff and drivers
• Manage registrations, roadworthy inspections, and compliance with NHVL, CoR, and WHS requirements
• Support continuous improvement in fleet safety, cost control, and environmental performance (Green Fleet initiatives)
• Contribute to fleet specification, procurement, and replacement planning
• Work collaboratively with WHS and Operations teams to ensure compliance and reporting integrity

About You

You're a confident and capable leader who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent organisational and communication skills. You take pride in your ability to solve problems quickly, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of safety and service.

To be successful, you'll bring:

• 5+ years' experience in a management or supervisory role within the heavy vehicle or transport industry
• Strong understanding of fleet maintenance programs, NHVL, CoR, and WHS compliance
• Mechanical aptitude and/or qualifications (desirable)
• Business-related qualification (Cert III or higher)
• Dangerous Goods Awareness and NHVL Maintenance Module training (advantageous)
• Proven experience leading teams and driving continuous improvement
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and time management skills
• Advanced computer literacy (experience with Gearbox or Advantage preferred)
