About the role
Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking the support of a highly motivated Account Manager. This role will see you nurture and grow an existing client portfolio of medical accounts. This is a high value portfolio of $15.5M per year comprising our important blue chip accounts in hearing devices and other medical accounts. In this role you will be part of a high energy, outcome driven team of 6 led by a highly experienced, well regarded Senior Manager within our business. Your objective will be to accelerate organic growth as well as be encouraged to win over share of wallet, new business opportunities by taking advantage of the rapid growth and demand within e-Commerce, B2B markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop Strategic Account Plan for each account
- Identify and develop growth opportunities with customers
- Achieve assigned account objectives and sales targets
- Establish strong, long-term customer relationships
- Monitor account developments for emerging customer challenges and opportunities providing insights and account intelligence to develop innovative solutions that satisfy the customer needs
- Identify, develop solutions and innovative ideas in partnership with solutions teams and business operations to meet customer needs
- Take appropriate action when issues arise or the potential for issues present themselves.
- Communicate with major customers on a regular basis and respond to specific queries
- Act proactively as the strategic partner/ liaison between customers and Team Global Express
- Monitor sales performance metrics
- Understand customer profitability modelling and undertake data analysis to Improve yield per customer and implement cost recovery strategies.
- Ensure reporting, compliance of customer needs through CRM system.
- Be involved and lead tenders, bids, contract negotiations, renewals for timely completion.
About You

Ideally you will have some experience in freight however if you are tenacious and have a great work ethic these traits will see you succeed in this role.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in transport or medical industries is desirable but not madatory
- This is a hands-on role and local travel is required
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- An ability to address customer requests in a timely manner
- Strong negotiation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Demonstrated customer focus and ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority and help drive streamlined decision-making across internal and external stakeholders
- Tenacious, resilient, and driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills across a wide variety of audiences
- Strong business acumen combined with attention to detail
- Well-developed technical and sales skills are necessary to maintain credibility and respect
- Reasonable level of analytical and computer skills including MS Office.
