**About the role**

The Student and Academic Services Officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative and services support within the Campus across a broad range of academic and student services and administrative functions with the primary responsibility for front counter student-facing activities.

**Key Result areas**
- Advise and assist students regarding courses, academic policies and procedures, academic progression, enrolment and other student matters
- Assist in enrolment and orientation activities
- Manage the acquisition and maintenance of office equipment and consumables
- Create and maintain purchase orders and other financial tasks
- Assist with the implementation of student wellbeing programs and events, including planning, promotion, organising supplies and attending events and assist with the promotion of student surveys
- Maintain the accuracy of student records
- Other projects and tasks as directed by the Student Services Coordinator and/or Manager

**The person we seek will ideally have the following**:
**Essential**
- Demonstrated ability to be punctual and reliable, meet deadlines and deal with competing priorities
- Excellent attention to detail, including record keeping, proofreading and editing skills
- Demonstrated ability to relate well to students and professionals
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- IT literacy and experience (e.g. Microsoft suite of programs, learning management systems, social media etc.);
- Excellent communication skills, outgoing and approachable manner
- Working with Children check or willingness to obtain a check
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to work towards

**Desirable**
- Work experience in higher education sector
- Experience working with International students
