The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a self-motivated, analytical Academic Services Officer to join our team at Torrens University. This role spans the total course life cycle - from course accreditation, review, configuring courses in the student administration systems, providing reports and data, assisting with governance processes, and scheduling and attending a range of meetings.

Reporting to the Academic Services Manager you will join a team of passionate staff who are playing their part in making sure that we are here to deliver an exceptional learning experience for students.

On a typical day in this role you will:
- Providing outstanding service and exceptional support to the Academic Services Manager, the Dean, Associate Dean, Program Directors, Academics and various on-campus stakeholders- Providing high-quality, accurate and timely processing of all Academic Services administration processes-
- Editing documents and sorting, filtering and manipulating student and course data- Providing support, information and minute taking for faculty academic governance meetings as required- Providing accurate information for integrated campus staff regarding academic policies and procedures, ensuring adherence with group-wide approaches- Assisting in the preparation, smooth running and integrity of examinations

This is a permanent full time role position based in either in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Brisbane. This role offers great flexibility and the ability to work from home most of the time.

Who are you?

To be successful in the Academic Services Officer position you will have:
- 1-2 years’ experience within an administration role preferably with experience in academic administration within the higher education industry- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with ability to liaise with internal professional and academic stakeholders at all levels- Attention to detail and the ability to undertake high volumes of administrative tasks- Demonstrated data management skills with Intermediate level Microsoft Excel- The ability to interpret policies and procedures to ensure compliance and governance- Self-motivation and the ability to work both in a team and autonomously- The ability or willingness to learn how to take minutes for academic meetings
