**The Division**

The Greater Sydney Division integrates transport modes including trains, metro and buses; critical infrastructure and services to support Sydney’s growing metropolitan population, projected to swell to over 12 million within the next 40 years.

**The Opportunity**

We currently have an opportunity available for a **Permanent, Full Time Configuration Officer** to join the Network Operations team, within our Greater Sydney division.

As the Configuration Officer for Traffic Signals, you will be undertaking a range of activities associated with traffic signal controllers, including the review of traffic signal intersection designs, site specific intersection configuration (programming of controller Personalities) and testing the programming associated with traffic signal controllers.

Other responsibilities include:

- Developing traffic signal configuration software to meet requirements and standards for reliable operation of Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System (SCATS) compatible traffic signal controllers and traffic management systems.
- Ensuring administrative processes, polices, standards, guidelines, security policies and methodologies are consistently implemented across project development and operationally.
- Delivering best practice in traffic signal software design by reviewing traffic signal designs and identifying and reporting on departures from design standards.
- Providing advice and technical support by developing capabilities in the areas of traffic signal software design and standards compliance related to traffic control systems and their installation.
- Providing and maintaining documentation of traffic signal software.

**Salary and Benefits**

The salary for this position is USS8, $106,817 to $114,624 per annum plus superannuation.
