The Role: You will provide institute wide expert advice to continuously improve procurement and tendering activities in general support to the Institute's strategic direction in collaboration with external consultants. **Responsibilities**: - Provide guidance and industry best practice advice in recommending improvements to purchasing policy, procedures, and systems, adopting new technology and environmental sustainability where necessary - Ensure processes are conducted in accordance with Institute procedures and legislative requirements - Recommend and undertake the tendering of any goods and services - Source, evaluate and select suppliers for all goods and services required by the Institute while ensuring a cost-effective, quality-focused solution that meets the Institute's policy requirements - Optimise the use of "Whole of Government" contracts and any other bulk supply contracts the institute is eligible to access Skills and Experience: - Strong written communication skills - High analytical skills - Excellent skills in drafting and administering tender documentation - Previous experience in Finance One, Sassi or any other similar database - Understanding of purchasing is highly advantageous **Benefits**: - Opportunity to upskill your current skillset - Campus located close to public transport in the CBD - Be part of a growing institute Culture: The University is committed to providing a diverse, inclusive, and respectful working environment for all staff.
