Our client, a large Queensland Government Department, is seeking to engage 2 experienced **Project Officers** (AO5). Reporting to the Senior Asset Manager, the Project Officers are responsible for supporting the effective management of the maintenance and upgrade components of the GEH portfolio to facilitate its smooth and efficient management across the State.

These roles are initial 6-month contracts with potential to extend, based in Brisbane's CBD.

**In this position, you will**:

- provide recommendations for maintenance and upgrade works on a residential portfolio.
- achieve value for money through a sound understanding of maintenance and upgrades.
- deliver maintenance and upgrade programs to agreed timeframes, budget, quality standards and client satisfaction.
- ensure properties are maintained to a consistent standard taking into consideration GEH specifications, Australian standards and statutory requirements.
- manage property and program expenditure including monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the financial performance of projects and programs.
- have a sound working knowledge of Excel and being efficient in managing, sorting and analysing data by using (but not limited to) pivot tables, lookups and charts.
- analyse the differences between quotes and GEH specifications.
- contribute to the development of responses to correspondence, briefings, reports and information papers.
- contribute to the development and review of key policies, guidelines and processes to ensure best practice portfolio asset management is delivered.
- establish and maintain effective networks of key departmental contacts and with industry representatives.
- contribute actively as a member of GEH's Asset Management Team.
