**Your contribution**:
The purpose of this position is to provide high-level advice and lead the development, implementation and coordination of youth justicepolicies, programs and projects that include infrastructure responsibilities.
**The Project Officer's key responsibilities are**:
- Provide leadership, expert analysis, interpretation and strategic planning informed by evidence, for youth justice policies,programs and projects for the department.
- Coordinate the provision of authoritative, professional and timely advice on youth justice policies and projects.
- Lead effective stakeholder engagement with a wide range of organisations, agencies and offices.
- Coordinate cabinet submissions, documentation, proposals and initiatives and contribute a strategic perspective to responses.
- Manage projects of a complex, sensitive and contentious nature.
- Coordinate and/or conduct research into youth justice policy and services.
- Active participation in and contribution to the governance and strategic objectives of youth justice and the departmentsinfrastructure responsibilities.
