**As a Project Officer you will**:
- Provide accurate and timely information and advice to the Senior Project Officer,
Earth Observation and Social Science leadership team and staff on a range of
matters including financial management, procurement, project management, human
resource management, licensing management and general administrative support.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and seek continuous improvement of effective
business processes and maintain systems relating to the financial, human, and
physical resources of the branch including preparation of budget forecasts,
managing expenditure and revenue with cash flow timings and project reporting.
- Support the Earth Observation and Social Science leadership team, Senior
Project Officer, and project support staff to ensure quality service delivery, including
record keeping (eDocs), correspondence (MECS), finance (SAP and Financial
Reporter), human resource (Aurion), travel (CTM), workplace health and safety
(including field trip reporting), procurement activities and project management tasks
(PARIS).
- Liaise and coordinate with clients and service providers to collect and share
information to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First
Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better
outcomes for First Nations people.
This position is based at the Ecosciences Precinct, Dutton Park, Queensland.
To be eligible for appointment to this position, you must provide evidence that you
are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You are considered fully vaccinated when
you have had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine recognised by the Therapeutic
Goods Administration. You will need to provide a copy of your COVID-19 vaccination
certificate as proof that you are fully vaccinated.
It is a mandatory requirement for the occupant of this position to hold an unrestricted
Queensland C class driver's license. Officers are required to drive government
vehicles which may include four-wheel drives as and when required.
Position may be required to gain at a minimum a Level Two Purchasing Accreditation.
