**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Understand or quickly gain an understanding of the global trends, opportunities and challenges.
- Provide a critical interface between the international posts in the markets allocated to you and TIQ Queensland and assist with the development of market strategies and business plans.
- Work with TIQ's client facing teams to complement service delivery through the provision of expert market advice and insights.
- Work closely with the relevant TIQ posts to support investor visits, garnering interest from Queensland companies in market based events and working with Queensland Operations teams to follow up on market opportunities. Assist with the coordination of events, meetings and inbound missions, and contribute to the coordination of outbound missions, including ministerial missions, with briefing materials, correspondence and market knowledge.
- Prepare briefings on trade and investment issues by undertaking the necessary research and consultations. Develop and maintain active and productive partnerships with key stakeholders, industry / membership bodies in Queensland for collaborative projects and to source new clients.
- Liaise with TIQ's corporate services Divisions and International posts to ensure timely financial and performance reporting and the smooth delivery of market focused event, meetings and functions.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with TIQ colleagues.
- Adjust working methods and times to cultural and political differences and geographical time zones.
- Actively use TIQ's Client Relationship Management system (Salesforce) to ensure client interactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ensure that knowledge of TIQ and developments in targeted international markets remain current, comprehensive and relevant.
