**The Role**
As the Headquarters Air Warfare Centre (AWC) Technical Officer for Airworthiness and Assurance, you will conduct technical aviation safety activities in support of the AWC Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation, including managing the review of incoming technical information and updating airworthiness documentation. You will also provide support to aviation safety management in AWC through monitoring changes in aviation safety regulations, conducting airworthiness review of platforms and assuring airworthiness management of AWC aircraft by external organisations.
In addition to airworthiness tasking, you will also provide support to AWC safety management activities (WHS, Radiation Hazards and Explosive Ordnance), including conducting safety assurance activities. Your role is also key in maintaining the effectiveness of the AWC Quality Management System through conducting internal audits and other assurance activities.

In the Air Warfare Centre, you will be part of a large and diverse organisation that provides a range of specialised products and support to all areas of Air Force. In your role, you will work within a professional team responsible for assurance of these outputs, but also be required to engage widely with staff across all Air Warfare Centre business units.

You will have the qualifications, knowledge and experience to effectively deliver continuing airworthiness and technical assurance functions for the AWC. Having an understanding of, and experience with, Defence aviation capabilities, technical regulations, quality management and safety systems would be highly regarded.
