Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Land SPO (EWIS Land) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled communication Technical Officer. The Technical Officer will be able to perform and achieve complex technical communication work in compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements.
As the Technical Team Leader, you will manage a small team that provides detailed technical and professional advice in relation to state of the art Counter-IED systems and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development. You will be able to work autonomously and display high levels of initiative and judgment when working on technical problems and shifting priorities.
The Technical Team Leader will possess sound commercial and business acumen and a demonstrated understanding of the Defence Industry sector in Australia.
**About our Team**
- Perform complex communication technical activities and associated tasks working to agreed priorities and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge of relevant processes, packages, product and equipment.
- Coordinate large scale activities with multiple stakeholders both in and out of Government.
- Assess whether technical packages, reports, processes, product and equipment performance meet the specified requirements, provide recommendations for continuous improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure safety aspects of Defence capability are considered and incorporated into communications technical activities and tasks.
- Build and sustain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
