**Job Description**:
Headquarters based in the North-West of Sydney with branch offices in other states around Australia, we have an exciting **permanent full time opportunity **available for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to join a supportive and collaborative team, located at our Kings Park branch in Sydney (NSW).

**Position Purpose**

Under the direction of Operations Director, the National HSE Officer will contribute to the continuous review and improvement of the EHS management system, lead EHS team to implement, review and develop corporate policies.

**Specific Tasks**
- Assist Key Stakeholders with the investigation of incidents and hazard management
- Develop and implement appropriate remedial action arising from investigations in conjunction with Department Managers
- Drive the EHS risk management process across the organisation and provide key stakeholders with assistance
- Develop and conduct regular audits to ensure processes, systems and contractors comply with relevant legislation and coprorate policies and procedures
- Facilitate and lead risk reviews and workshops
- Perpare performance reports and statistical analysis
- Provide leadership and support to line managers and supervisors with appropritate compliance checks, analysis and risk assessments
- Monitor and communicate to relevant stakeholders about any change to EHS legislation

**Qualifications**:
**Position Requirements**
- Australian Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or Above
- Working knowledge of OSH and WHS legislation, Regulations Codes of Practice and Standards (both NSW state level and harmonised/federal level)
- Demonstrated understanding of AS4801 and/or ISO45001 and/or OHSAS18001
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- At least 5 years of experience in similar work environment
