**About the role**:
As a Platform Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the infrastructure hosting platforms, including Storage, Backups, and SQL and Oracle databases.

Your strong background in leading diverse teams across all areas of technology will be key for leading, motivating and inspiring your team to develop best in class capability. As a people leader you will have the ability to understand problems and guide people to get to solutions effectively. In addition, you will have extensive experience with cloud services and architecture.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in a new industry framework using the Momentum model - an evolution of Agile, working with best-of-breed technology.

**What you’ll do**:

- Advocate for best practices in the use of Databases, Data Protection, Hosting and Storage.
- Own the end-to-end design, implementation, and management of the platforms; contribute to and drive Infrastructure strategy and roadmap for the organisation.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate new services and features.
- Maintains vision and leads development of Platform Increment Plan with defined success measures (i.e. accountable for plan).
- Responsible for both change and run initiatives in relevant technology area.
- Responsible for driving prioritisation decisions with functional Leadership team, using Increment Plan
- Lead the adoption and implementation of IaC using tools like Terraform.
- Drive the automation of infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Work collaboratively to build and maintain strong relationships with team members, business customers, Project Stakeholders, peers, Finance, Procurement, Risk and other T&O teams.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Proven experience leading large diverse teams (including partners) across multiple locations
- Extensive experience with cloud services and architecture.
- Proven track record of managing cloud platforms at an enterprise scale.
- Experience of IT operations in a large organisation is highly desired;
- Excellent stakeholder management; with proven ability to build relationships quickly
- Possess the drive for continuous development and enhancement of the cloud platform.
- Excellent problem solving - ability to seek out information and break down problems and situations into simple lists of components.
- Change management capability - ability to recognise, understand and support need for change and anticipated impact on both the team, business and self.
