Sydney, Australia Alpha FMC Full time

**About the organisation**

Alpha FMC is the leading global consultancy to the Asset Management, Wealth Management and Insurance industries. As a trusted partner to more than 72% of the top 100 global Asset Management firms by AUM, we have an unrivalled track record in providing our base of over 715 clients with a competitive edge by using our deep industry knowledge and expertise. We have the largest dedicated team in the industry, with 750+ full-time consultants globally, operating from 15 offices spanning the UK, Europe, North America and Asia.

At Alpha, diversity and inclusion is not only important for - but critical to - our success, and we are committed to employing individuals from all backgrounds to reflect the multi-cultural society we live in. We have worked hard to foster an environment that welcomes everyone and celebrates each other’s successes. We want Alpha to not only feel like ‘a job’ - we want it to feel like a community.

**What makes us different?**
- Established yet entrepreneurial. We believe that Alpha is the perfect combination of a successfully established firm (founded in 2003, quoted on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange) whilst being entrepreneurial, dynamic, and growing - meaning your contribution is seen and valued.
- Work alongside the best in the industry. Working at Alpha gives you the opportunity to work alongside not only the leading organisations in our industry, but also experts within the Alpha team. Learning directly from both will allow you to develop your own expertise in our space.
- A true meritocracy. At Alpha, we don’t have any concept of ‘time at level’ or promotion quotas - which means that your potential is truly driven by your performance rather than anything else
- High responsibility and autonomy. Given our project team sizes (typically 2-10 people), each member has a high level of responsibility and autonomy on every project, as well as exposure to senior team members (e.g. Directors) who continuously train and develop you.
- Culture and community. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive, nurturing environment where people can be themselves

**What’s the opportunity?**

As a **Manager** at Alpha, you will have the opportunity to work on client engagements for the leading global organisations in the Asset and Wealth Management industry - helping them define and implement best practice strategies and solutions to enhance their current operations. Working as part of an Alpha team, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of the experts and leaders in this space.

You’ll be responsible for leading projects or for leading workstreams within projects - which will require you to use creative problem solving, project management and stakeholder management skillsets. Fundamentally, you will be helping leading global players think smarter and shape their business for the future - defining the future of the Asset and Wealth Management industry. You will develop your network, maintain client relationships and help identify opportunities for collaboration.

Furthermore, everyone at Alpha has the opportunity to influence the direction of the company by joining a Business Management team - meaning that alongside their role, they collaborate internally and play a pivotal role in one of Recruitment, Training, Social, D&I or Wellbeing (and others). This means that by joining Alpha you will not only gain excellent experience in our industry working with key leaders and experts, but you can have hands on exposure to how companies are run and gain these skillsets at the same time.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Undertaking and managing highly successful client engagements to achieve high client satisfaction rating
- Manage expectations of client service delivery on complex projects
- Developing objectives and strategies and driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
- Delivering objectives and strategies by bringing together diverse stakeholders to work effectively in partnership
- Analysing the client current state, developing proposals, and assisting and implementing recommendations or solutions to ensure the best use of clients’ resources

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for individuals who can become future leaders for Alpha. Ideally, you will have management consulting experience in the Asset and Wealth Management industry. However, we recognise that you may have a different background and highly transferrable skillsets. We have comprehensive training and development programmes that build confidence, consulting skills and industry content.
- 5-12 years of proven experience in the delivery of projects gained within a leading financial institution or consulting firm
- Experience in either data analytics in investment management with a solid understanding of data concepts, middle office operations across all asset classes or OMS/PMS system implementations will be highly regarded
