Role Description

This partner-level is a hybrid role located in Sydney, NSW Australia for a very senior management consultant. We are seeking an experienced consultant to lead complex, high-impact consulting engagements across strategy, transformation, and business performance in Financial Services and technology. The successful candidate will work closely with executive stakeholders to shape strategic direction, deliver operational improvements, increase productivity, and drive sustainable business outcomes. This role requires a proven track record in consulting for major corporations, people leadership skills, business development, relationship management, account management, public speaking skills and thought leadership, particularly in Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Client Engagement & Delivery

  2. Lead end-to-end delivery of complex consulting engagement across multiple business domains.

  3. Influence strategy, project budget, scope, timelines, resource plans, and delivery methodologies.
  4. Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level clients, providing actionable, evidence-based insights.
  5. Ensure quality assurance and alignment of deliverables within client expectations.

  6. Strategy & Transformation

  7. Develop and implement enterprise-wide transformation strategies (digital, operational, organisational).

  8. Translate high-level business vision and objectives into tangible, achievable transformation roadmaps.
  9. Oversee change management, operating model redesign, and process optimisation.

  10. Team Leadership & Capability Building

  11. Mentor, coach, and develop junior and mid-level consultants.

  12. Build high-performing, cross-functional teams and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  13. Promote internal knowledge sharing, IP development, and capability uplift.

  14. Business Development

  15. Lead proposal development and pitch presentations for new business opportunities.

  16. Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  17. Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across service lines.

  18. Thought Leadership

  19. Be one of the firm's ambassador

  20. Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and panels.
  21. Publish white papers, blogs, and articles to shape market conversations.
  22. Stay ahead of market trends, disruptions, and regulatory shifts.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of management consulting experience with at least 5 years in a senior role.
  • Proven delivery of large-scale transformation or strategy engagements.
  • Deep industry expertise in Financial Services.
  • Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention.
  • Experience managing P&L, client portfolios, or regional practice areas is highly regarded.

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Agile) advantageous.
