australia perth contract negotiable**Core duties**:
Assist in procurement and contract management activities relating to IT projects, consultation and general ICT resource/service contracts. Ideally a strong background working on government procurement policies and a working knowledge of IT concepts and terms would be advantageous.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Process purchase orders for the acquisition of services as required.
- Assist in the planning and formation of low to medium risk contracts to ensure compliance with relevant State Government and departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure all procurement documentation complies with State Government and Departmental policies.
- Prepares and collates information for statistical
- and management-reports
- Consult with staff, providing support and advice as required.
- Assist in the development of tools and working-document templates to ensure compliance with policies and procedures including internal controls.
- Assist in coordinating and responding to queries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain filing system, manuals and office records in line with Departmental policies

**Experience required**:

- Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management.
- Well-developed written communication and interpersonal skills, including the preparation of procurement and technical documents.
- Ability to liaise, consult and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
- Good level of conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and highlight key issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team environment to achieve goals and objectives.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads to agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite.
