Seeking an experienced and confident Procurement and Contracts Specialist to join a Government team

**Your new company**

A State Government department in West Perth, is seeking a confident Procurement and Contracts Specialist to start as soon as possible. This opportunity is offered on an initial temporary basis, working full-time hours and on a competitive hourly rate.

**Your new role**

You will be responsible in overseeing and managing the development of contracts and general procurement for a particular team within the department. Your duties will include:

- Managing stakeholder relationships liaising with contacts on contract obligations, compliance, spend analysis and contract terms and conditions
- Overseeing procurement and purchasing, ensuring compliant with Government standards
- Undertake end-to-end procurement and contract management services including planning, tender development, evaluation facilitation, contract formation and consultations
- Provide specialist advice on complex contract development processes and principals, procurement planning, risk management and governance
- Other duties as required

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role you must have previous experience in a similar position, within a Government team. In addition, you will have:

- Previous experience managing ICT procurement / contracts would be an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence in negotiations and delivery management
- Advanced attention to detail
- Strong IT skills with experience using MS Office Suites, Share Point and ideally TRIM
- The ability to work autonomously
