**Your new company**
A leading State Government department based in a central location to Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Procurement / Contracts Officer to provide specialist support to the ICT division. You will be required to work full-time hours, with some flexible working arrangements on offer. You will be initially engaged on a temporary basis, with view of further extension offered to the right person.

**Your new role**
As the Procurement Officer you will be required to provide efficient support to the specialist ICT division, assisting in the procurement of recurrent licensing and IT service contracts. In addition you will be responsible for:

- Processing purchase orders
- Support in planning and formation of contracts and procurement documentation, ensuring compliant with department policies and procedures
- Prepare and collate information for reports as requested by managers and directors
- Verify invoicing to contract terms and conditions
- Updating and maintaining internal database and filing systems, recording information in line with department policies
- Responding and managing general queries received from internal and external stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**
In order to be considered for this role, you will display:

- Previous experience in procurement and contract management
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with experience preparing procurement and technical documents
- Demonstrated experience with financial processes
- Proven ability to work in a team environment to achieve goals and outcomes
- Previous experience working with government policies and a knowledge of IT concepts/terms would be advantageous

**What you'll get in return**
You will be engaged on an initial temporary basis, with possible extension offered to the right person. You will be required to work full-time hours, with some flexible arrangements on offer.
