Procurement & Contracts Officer - Global Mining Client
This Global mining client has a new opportunity for a Procurement and Contracts Officer to join them on a permanent basis.
Primary objective
Responsible for the sourcing, contracts and purchase order administration and support including planning, monitoring, administration, reporting and communications as required to support the Category Management team. Ensure Contracts and Procurement is undertaken in accordance with Procurement Standard and other applicable company procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
- Development and administration of RFx events and/or contract lifecycle management system
- Preparing and maintaining the status reports on ongoing sourcing and contract activities
- Facilitating regular meetings with internal team or stakeholders to ensure proactive project management and administration
- Manage and monitor sourcing events
- Support stakeholders and sourcing & contract specialists in evaluation and negotiation activities
- Establishment and variation management of low complexity/risk contracts
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder engagement to support Logistics, Group Transport, Systems and Business Partner & Strategy relationships
- Support team with Supplier Performance Management.
Essential selection criteria
- A proven track record of contract and procurement administration & governance.
- Must have strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines.
- Understanding of esourcing / contracts / purchase orders and their primary components.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
- Highly proficient in MS Office suite of products
- The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
