**About the Role and our client**

Our client is looking for a dedicated payroll officer to join their team immediately, on an initial temporary assignment. Our client is a leader within their industry and is located in the western suburbs of Brisbane.

**Position Description**

Working within the Payroll team, your daily tasks will include:

- Payroll processing for a large volume of staff (500+ employees);
- PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation payments;
- Ensuring accurate and timely process of payroll administration including compliance with statutory requirements;
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll adjustments;
- Proving accurate information in response to employee queries.

The successful applicant will have proven experience in a similar Payroll Officer position along with the following skills and attributes:

- Previous payroll experience with TierOne systems;
- High volume payroll processing experience;
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
- The ability to interpret numerous awards and EBAs;
- Experience working in a large organisation
