The role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to progress their career in Design. Part of the iconic Australian brand, Country Road, the Homeware department is well established and continuously growing. You will provide Design and Administration support to the team, in conjunction with the Head of Design, giving you the opportunity to work in a collaborative, creative environment.

Key responsibilities
- Assist as required in the designing, briefing, developing and sourcing of original products that meet the Country Road design direction, option plan, price points and margin
- Sample Management (E-commerce, Marketing, PR)
- Style Name Database and Management
- Colour Palette Maintenance
- Range Room and Library Maintenance
- Document Preparation and Presentation Support
- Presentation and Design Templates
- Minute Taking during meetings
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional design teams to ensure coordinated design outcomes for brand moments such as POP Shop, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve product outcomes, such as technical design, merchandise, production, packaging, marketing, sustainability, onboarding, styling, e-commerce and legal.
- Contribute to trend forecasting and workshops for seasonal design vision
- Liaise and build relationships with agents and vendors as required
- Interact with stores in conjunction with Head of Design, Merchandise Manager, presenting the range and talking through key outtakes.
- A tertiary design qualification
- Skills in Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite
- Proven design and creative skills or previous experience as a Design Assistant
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to multi-task & work effectively within a team
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a busy team environment
- Knowledge and interest in the design community with creative flair and a passion for design
- Excellent attention to detail & organisational skills
- Problem solving skills
